Over the years, Unnati, under the SGBS Trust, has been awarded several prestigious accolades for its tremendous contributions towards the empowerment of youth in our country.


Mr. Ramesh Swamy was given the "For the Sake of Honour Award" in 2011 by the Rotary Club of Bangalore Cantonment in recognition of his contributions to the cause of the underprivileged youth.
The SGBS Trust won the Rising Star Award of the Year at the India NGO Awards in 2012-13. The Trust was also a finalist in the "Small NGO" category.
Unnati was a deserving finalist at the Namma Bengaluru Awards in 2014 which recognized those individuals and organizations working towards making Bengaluru a better city to live in.
Unnati was a proud finalist at the Manthan Awards (2011), instituted by the Digital Empowerment Foundation to honour those working towards social and digital in inclusion.
The SGBS Trust was awarded the Padma Bhushan Dr. M.C. Modi Service Award by the Senior Citizens' Club (Govt.), Bengaluru for its efforts towards the socio-economic upliftment of underprivileged youth.
The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs recognized Unnati for its "exemplary partnership" in the IICA Certificate Programme in Corporate Social Responsibility with a commendation award for the year 2014-15.
Mr. Ramesh Swamy was awarded a citation by the Sree Sabari Ayyappa Seva Trust in 2013 for his commitment towards the upliftment of underprivileged youth.
The Power To Empower award was presented to Mr. Ramesh Swamy, the Founder of the SGBS Trust, for Unnati's efforts in providing employability to economically backward youth.

The Rotary Club of Bangalore conferred the Rotary Service Award for 2009-10 upon the SGBS Trust.
